Creative in research and teaching.
We are pleased to announce the next XXXVIII ASEPELT International Congress to be held in Alcalá de Henares, from June 25 to 27, 2025, organized by the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of Alcalá.
The ASEPELT Congress has been for several decades a reference as a meeting place for researchers in the field of Applied Economics. Our goal is to continue in the same line, organizing a forum for debate and committed discussion that serves to enrich and disseminate the work of our scientific field.
This year, together with our Scientific Congress, we will once again organize the Second International Conference on Teaching Innovations in Economics-ASEPELT, to be held on June 25, prior to the traditional ASEPELT congress on research in Economics. With this second ASEPELT Conference on Teaching Innovation we continue with the initiative that was launched last year to contribute to the development of the methodology and teaching practice in Applied Economics, as well as to the achievement of the merits required by ANECA in the accreditations to the different teaching bodies. We invite all interested faculty to submit their papers and participate again in this Congress.
As for the XXXVIII Asepelt International Congress 2025, it will revolve on this occasion around the theme of “Zero Hunger: Health, Production, Economics and Sustainability”. With this theme we intend to mobilize different areas of knowledge within the economic discipline, which can interact and offer advances in research from an applied economics approach.
Economic science has worked for many decades in isolation from other disciplines and, even more, compartmentalized in diverse areas that have not interacted sufficiently to progress in knowledge. Therefore, in our congress we propose a multidisciplinary approach where we intend to mobilize scholars from those areas of knowledge and disciplines that, in one way or another, can carry out multidisciplinary studies with an applied economics approach.
The program will include seminars in the form of parallel sessions, plenary sessions and round tables in which the ideas presented in the congress theme will be presented and discussed.
We hope that this proposal will have the best response from the academics and that we will enjoy the international ASEPELT congress, in its XXXVIII edition, full of interesting ideas, quality papers and interaction between researchers from different areas and disciplines.
We look forward to welcoming you to the historic city of Alcalá de Henares next June and trust that you will greatly enjoy both congresses.
Our colleague Ignacio Aliende, Professor at the School of Economics and Business Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, invites us to participate in the book whose information appears below.
If you are interested, stay tuned for the deadlines for the abstract and the full chapter.
