The First Training Activity of the ASEPELT Training Section took place on November 20 and 21, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Granada, in collaboration with the Department of Quantitative Methods.

The chosen theme for this First Training Activity was "Data & Decisions: Modelling in Economics and Business Management. Applied Cases with R." The event exceeded all expectations, as the 40 available spots were filled within a week of its announcement. The participants were primarily university professors, master's, and doctoral students.

The activity was conducted by Full Professors from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Gema Fernández-Avilés and Victor Casero, along with Full Professor María Durban from the University Carlos III of Madrid.

Juan Francisco Muñoz Rosas (Full Professor at the University of Granada), Juan Pablo Moya Fernández (Head of the Department of Quantitative Methods at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Granada), and José María Montero (Full Professor at UCLM and President of ASEPELT) coordinated the Activity. The event was closed by ASEPELT Honorary Member and retired Full Professor from the Department of Quantitative Methods of the Faculty, Rafael Herrerías Pleguezuelo.
